Das Centro Português de Fotografia CPF hat die Aufgaben der Verwaltung der nationalen Fotografiesammlung, der Förderung des fotografischen Erbes, der Pflege einer Sammlung fotografischer Apparate und die Durchführung von Fotoausstellungen.
Das historische Gebäude im Stadtzentrum von Porto ist ein beeindruckender Zeuge der Gefängnisgeschichte und bietet die passende Umgebung mit einem eindrücklichen Ambiente und schweren Eisengittern.
